Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Morning
Follow the hotel pick-up at Ho Chi Minh City, we start our day tour off to the Reunification Palace – the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam. After that, we pay our visit to the War Remnant Museum, where we can see countless artifacts, photographs, and pictures documenting the Vietnam War. The Notre Dame Cathedral, the Opera House and Old Post Office are also deserved our visit to get good shots of the modern city that still well maintains ancient structures from previous centuries. We conclude the morning city tour by dropping by Ben Thanh Market – the earliest surviving building in Saigon and an important symbol of Ho Chi Minh City. Enjoy a savory Southern Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant.
Cu Chi Tunnels Discovery – Afternoon
After lunch, get on our bus to head to Cu Chi Tunnels known as the “Iron Triangle” or “Iron Land”. On the way to get there, we will drive through the pleasant countryside, rubber plantations, and rice paddies. Before entering the tunnels, we will have a look at a short introductory video showing how tunnels were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist to access. Also, it has displayed the variety of mantraps and the remains of an American tank, as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs, dropped by B52 bombers. After that, we will transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch.
Transfer you back to your hotel in Saigon. Finish off the day tour at around 18:00.
Depends on the weather conditions, Cu Chi tunnels might be visited in the morning.
