Full Itinerary of Cat Tien Wild Safari Adventure - 2 Days 1 Night
Your adventure begins at 7:30 AM with a private pickup from Thiso Mall, 10 Mai Chi Tho Street, An Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, at the Hoang The Thien Street entrance.
Travel by private vehicle towards Cat Tien National Park, leaving the urban landscape of Ho Chi Minh City behind as you move towards the greener countryside.
On arrival at the national park, your local guide will meet you and accompany you throughout the experience.
After checking in at the National Park Guest House, enjoy lunch at the Safari Restaurant before preparing for your afternoon in the forest.
At approximately 2:00 PM, prepare for your guided forest trek.
Gloves and trekking equipment will be provided before you set out on a 6-kilometre walking route through Cat Tien's diverse forest landscape.
The trail takes you through changing habitats, including areas of mature forest and bamboo groves. Along the way, your guide will introduce you to the surrounding flora and fauna and explain how these different environments form part of the wider ecosystem.
Rather than focusing simply on spotting animals, the experience encourages you to understand the forest itself — the vegetation, habitats and natural relationships that support wildlife within Cat Tien.
Please note: Wildlife sightings are naturally unpredictable. The value of the experience lies in exploring the ecosystem and observing the forest in its natural state rather than expecting guaranteed animal encounters.
Your forest trail eventually opens into the expansive Ta Lai rice fields, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding woodland.
Around 5:30 PM, a safari vehicle will be waiting to take you back from the rice fields.
Before returning, take some time to slow down and enjoy the evening landscape. With a drink in hand and the rice fields stretching into the distance, this is one of the quieter moments of the journey.
Return to the National Park Guest House for dinner at approximately 7:00 PM.
Overnight: National Park Guest House, Cat Tien National Park.
After breakfast, continue your exploration with a visit to the Center for Rescue and Conservation of Species.
This part of the journey shifts the focus from the forest landscape to the people and organizations working to protect Vietnam's wildlife.
Learn about the challenges faced by rescued and displaced animals, how they are cared for, and the role of rehabilitation in preparing suitable animals for their potential return to the wild.

Continue to Chau Ma Village
The journey continues towards Chau Ma Village, offering an opportunity to experience another aspect of the landscape surrounding Cat Tien National Park.

After completing the day's activities, begin your private journey back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Wildlife encounters are never guaranteed. Cat Tien is a protected natural environment, and animals are not staged for visitors. The experience focuses on exploring the forest ecosystem, understanding conservation and appreciating wildlife in its natural setting.
The tour also involves walking on uneven forest terrain, so guests should be comfortable with a moderate level of physical activity.
Weather conditions may affect the itinerary. Your guide may make reasonable adjustments when necessary for guest safety, environmental conditions or responsible wildlife practices.
Cat Tien experiences two main seasons, and each creates a different atmosphere in the rainforest.
Dry Season: December - May
Temperatures generally range from around 25°C to 35°C. The weather is typically warmer and sunnier, although midday conditions can feel hot during outdoor activities.
Rainy Season: June - November
Rainfall and humidity increase during these months, creating a particularly lush and vibrant rainforest environment. Short or heavy rain showers are possible, so waterproof clothing and suitable footwear are important.
Because weather conditions can change quickly in a tropical forest environment, we recommend checking the latest forecast before departure and preparing accordingly.
Because the itinerary combines forest trekking, outdoor activities and changing tropical weather, comfortable and practical clothing is essential.

The standard tour is suitable for guests aged 12 - 70 who are in good health and have previous trekking experience.
A reasonable level of physical fitness is recommended, particularly for guests who are not accustomed to walking for several hours on uneven ground.
Private tours are available from age 8, with the itinerary adjustable according to the group's pace and requirements.
Please keep in mind that this is a genuine forest experience rather than a leisurely sightseeing tour. Trails and weather conditions may make certain sections more demanding.
For safety reasons, the guide may adjust, shorten or end an activity early if a guest experiences significant difficulty.
In such circumstances, refunds or rescheduling are not applicable.

All activities are accompanied by experienced guides who are familiar with the local terrain, wildlife behaviour and operating conditions within Cat Tien National Park.
The team receives training in first aid, field safety and responsible wildlife practices.
As Cat Tien is a remote natural environment, conditions can change and access to medical facilities may be limited. Guests are therefore expected to follow the instructions of their guide and porter throughout the tour.

Mobile phone coverage is generally available around Cat Tien National Park, although the signal may become inconsistent in some forest areas.
